2. Local app data
The app stores settings, training goals, gym name, selected gym address, coordinates and radius, as well as exercises, templates, workouts, sets, weights, repetitions, notes, and history locally. Maximilian Mößler does not receive this data automatically. Depending on your device settings, it may be included in a device or iCloud backup managed by Apple.
Location and Apple Maps
After you grant iOS permission, Gym2Scroll processes your current location to determine whether you are inside the selected gym radius. It does not store movement history. The app uses Apple Maps for address search and maps; Apple may process search terms, location, and map data under its own privacy terms.
Family Controls
Family Controls, Device Activity, and Managed Settings protect selected apps. iOS provides selections as opaque system tokens. They are stored locally or in the shared app-group container, are not sent to Maximilian Mößler, and do not form a generally readable list of installed apps.
Timer, notifications, and Live Activities
When enabled, Gym2Scroll uses local notifications, audio playback, and Live Activities for the Rest Timer. No separate push server is used.
3. Temporary data transfer
When moving to the new app ID, you can export a complete JSON backup locally and import it into the new installation. Export and import start only when you initiate them. The file is stored in a location you choose and is not sent to Maximilian Mößler. An import replaces existing local app data only after your confirmation.
4. Website and Netlify
This website is delivered through Netlify. When you visit, Netlify processes technically required connection and log data, particularly IP address, time, requested file, browser and device information, and status codes. This supports secure and reliable website delivery. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
The website uses no advertising or analytics services. Your selected theme and language may be stored locally in your browser. This information is not transmitted to Gym2Scroll.
5. TestFlight, support, and email
When you contact us voluntarily by email, your contact details, message, and attachments are processed to handle your request. The same applies to voluntary TestFlight feedback. Through TestFlight, Apple may provide diagnostic and usage information such as app and operating-system version, device type, session data, and crash reports.
Depending on the request, processing is based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR or the legitimate interest in support, error analysis, and security under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Requests and diagnostic information are stored until resolved and for no longer than twelve months afterward, unless a legal obligation or legal defense requires longer storage.
6. Deletion and your rights
Local data remains until you delete or reset it in the app, or uninstall the app. You manage and delete exported backups at the chosen storage location. Permissions can be revoked in iOS.
Where statutory requirements are met, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection, as well as the right to lodge a complaint with a data-protection authority.
